While most kettles require that you awkwardly lift and hold open the spout while refilling, the Uccello’s one-touch-to-open hinged lid, requires the lightest of touches to tap open or close.

From first to last drop of boiling water, the tapered design of the spout ensures water is targeted to the same spot every time, without the splashing, inconsistency or lack of control experienced with ordinary kettle pours.

The Uccello Tipping Kettle is developed by Andy DePetra, who was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis in early 2011. Andy loved his morning coffee and would often face difficulty with lifting a kettle full of water to make it. He grew frustrated and turned his focus on designing a kettle that would ease the struggle and enable people to maintain their independence. Thus Uccello was born!

I know that I am safe using this kettle.

This is my second one. Easy to set up . Wonderful for Rheumatoid Arthritis /Scleroderma/Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis patient. No need to lift heavy kettle at any time.

I purchased the Uccello tipping kettle for my 95 year old Mother who has bad arthritis. It makes her life easier and safer.

Could be a little more stable

I really love this tipping kettle. I find it really easy to use and I personally fill the kettle in situ with a jug. Having had an incident where I dropped a full kettle of boiling water and was fortunate to avoid scalding - I would not hesitate to recommend this kettle to anyone

From having to use 2 hands to lift a kettle to one where I don’t have to lift anything is bliss. So easy to use I am drinking more hot drinks. Would recommend it wholeheartedly.

This is a perfect kettle for me. Really bad hands, and this is so much better. I was worried about scalding myself and this puts my mind at rest. Get one!

This is absolutely brilliant although I do have to use it like a conventional kettle when I fill a hot water bottle or need to fill a hot chocolate mug (which are quite tall) other than that it is great would definitely recommend to ppl with arthritis and any other illnesses that restrict grip in the hands.

Amazing…… such a clever idea. I can now make a cup of coffee without help. I use a small jug to fill the kettle, so I never have to struggle lifting a kettle again.

Bought for my wife who has osteoarthritis in wrists.Effortless to use because as you tip it the weight of the water moves forward and reduces effor required to tip like a dumper truck.
I love to use it as well!
Its only downside is its small capacity so we keep our traditional fast boil kettle ready for use if need be.

This is such a fantastic item it has helped my mum do much as she cannot lift a regular kettle anymore would highly recommend

I'm really happy with my purchase, of the tipping kettle. The kettle sits on my work top, and I don't need to lift it, as I have got a jug to refill . It's really easy and comfortable to use . One of the best buys.

Had kettle for a year or so now.
Pros: it tips well. Good for cups and small pots

Cons: minimum water level is 700ml so wasteful and residue scales up a lot. Doesn’t tip far enough for a two person pot unless full. Contacts wearing so now has to be pushed hard onto base.

It’s very good 👍 easy to use and light. Only minus is one it takes a long time to boil compared to other kettles two, the water gauge could do with being on the side otherwise it’s a brilliant kettle for arthritic hands .
