How to Choose the Right Compression Gloves

How to Choose the Right Compression Gloves

Compression gloves are commonly used by people with arthritis, carpal tunnel, RSI, and other conditions that cause hand pain, swelling, and stiffness.

Compression gloves can help reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling in three key ways:

  1. They help disrupt pain signals sent to the brain.
  2. They support the lymphatic system in moving fluid away from swollen joints.
  3. They provide gentle support to the wrist and finger joints.

What factors should I consider when choosing compression gloves?

1. Fit & size: It’s essential that your compression gloves provide gentle compression and a snug fit, whilst not restricting hand movement.

To find your size, take a measurement around your knuckles at the widest point of your hand.

  1. Wrap a tape measure around your knuckles to measure the circumference.
  2. Compare to the size chart below.
  3. If you are between sizes, choose the one that's larger.
Small Medium Large
6 inches / 15cm 7 inches / 18cm   8 inches / 20cm

2. Compression Level: If you would like slightly firmer compression size down.

3. Material & breathability: We offer compression gloves in two material compositions

  • 44% Cotton,  44% polyester and 12% spandex: This composition provides gentle compression, and a soft and breathable feel.
  • 88% Cotton, 12% spandex: This blend provides a gentler and more comfortable feel, ideal for sleeping.

4. Gloves use: Our four compression glove options are designed for different needs, skin tone styles offer a more subtle look, cotton-based gloves provide enhanced comfort, and extra grip gloves are ideal for tasks that involve lifting, gripping, and holding heavier items.

What do our customers think?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Jane
“I like these gloves. I also bought them in black. They give light compression and support to the hand and I use them as I have arthritis in the joint at the base of the thumbs. I particularly like the length of the fingers as often I find these are too short. I have Reynaud’s so they also keep the hands warm. I find I can wear them and still use my hands so they’re not too restrictive.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Odette
“My 93 year old Mum who has very painful hands LOVES these gloves. They help a lot. I have just ordered a second pair. Thank you very much.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Rae

“I love these gloves! They've reduced my hand and wrist pain a surprising amount. Definitely will be buying more of them”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - April
“These are very useful gloves. My hands work better at the keyboard and other tasks because they are warm and supported and yet my fingertips are able to move well so not restricted. So pleased I bought them.”
